Sun Baby Silver started as a seed of an idea in 2021, I had just bought myself some jewellers wax and a set of cheap scalpels and decided to play around…
I have always had a mild obsession with jewellery and an instinctive desire to make, stemming from a background in fine art. I accidentally fell into jewellery making and instantly fell in love with it. Each piece is individually designed and handcrafted, making no two pieces the same. Everything is a ‘one off’ and any imperfections are embraced and become a vital part of the work’s charm.
Being completely self-taught means that I use a mixture of traditional and non-traditional methods to create my works, it is the process as much as the outcome that really drives me.
All my jewellery is handmade from recycled 925 silver. Gemstones and pearls are ethically sourced or rescued from vintage items and chains are second hand where possible. Sustainability is at the forefront of my ethos and all my pieces are made to be lived in and worn by all.
Nothing makes me happier than sunshine and silver and I hope this is captured in every Sun Baby piece.

I spent my childhood and teenage years living in Muscat, Oman and underneath the Arabian sunshine is where I call home. It is this that influenced the name, Sun Baby Silver…
The Muttrah Souq in the heart of Muscat old town is probably one of my first ever jewellery influences. The souq itself is a flood to the senses; a maze of vendors selling fabrics, spices, antiques, household goods, jewels, and the BEST fresh juices. My favourite shop, referred to by the locals as ‘Ali Baba’s cave’, was filled with barrels overflowing with beads and vintage silver. As a teenager, I remember sifting through one of these vats, picking out a ring and encountering that real ‘perfect fit’ Cinderella moment. I couldn’t have left the souq without it and still very much adore it today.
Collecting silver rings has since become an addiction, to the extent where I have very much run out of fingers. Even so, I still get a strange sense of guilt when swapping out more ‘permanent’ fixtures for others in my jewellery box. THIS is the feeling that I want people to experience when they reach for their Sun Baby Silver pieces.
